Garage Goes Up In Flames While Car Battery Is Charging

Flames consumed a garage behind a home in Glenburn Twp. Sunday afternoon. By the time fire crews arrived after 4:15 p.m., the building at 1164 Old Trail Rd. was already engulfed in fire, said Clarks Summit Fire Company Chief Ryan Miller. The building and a car inside were completely destroyed. No one was injured, the chief said. The car in the garage had been hooked up to a battery charger, but Miller said Sunday night that he would wait on a state police fire marshal’s investigation, to begin this morning, to conclude what caused the fire.
